Fritz has gone through many re-developments over the past years. First development started in 1989, using a 4GL DOS database program called DataEase - the application was then known as "Maintenance Plus".
As Microsoft Windows progressed from version 3.1 to Windows 95 we rewrote the application using "Delphi" - an object oriented Pascal based programming language. Since the original windows programming, there has been three complete re-writes of the program, enabling new technologies and maintenance functionality to be added to the program.

The Database Engines have also changed over time. From the DOS propriety database we have changed to Paradox Tables and then progressed to "DBISAM", a Client/Server database that can be run in remote or local mode.
