History & Technicial Stuff

Fritz has gone through many re-developments over the past years.  First development started in 1989, using a 4GL DOS database program called DataEase - the application was then known as "Maintenance Plus".

As Microsoft Windows progressed from version 3.1 to Windows 95 we rewrote the application using "Delphi" - an object oriented Pascal based programming language.  Since the original windows programming, there has been three complete re-writes of the program, enabling new technologies and maintenance functionality to be added to the program.

The initial program was developed for the hospital and healthcare sector.  Today the program is used widely in a variety of markets that include...

  • Health Care / Hospital Maintenance

  • Aged Care Maintenance

  • Sporting Facility Maintenance

  • Parks & Gardens Maintenance

  • Hotel Maintenance

  • Aircraft Runway Maintenance

  • Fire Suppression Equipment Maintenance

  • Camping Grounds and Leisure Centre Maintenance

  • School Campus Maintenance

  • High-rise Building Maintenance

  • Secure Facilities Maintenance

  • IT Support Tracking

  • Cleaning Maintenance Control

  • Food Services Tracking

The Database Engines have also changed over time.  From the DOS propriety database we have changed to Paradox Tables and then progressed to "DBISAM", a Client/Server database that can be run in remote or local mode.
