It is the method used to connect external applications to a database - put simply, it is a translator that instructs external programs how to understand the underlying structure of the Fritz database. The ODBC driver needs to be installed on to each PC that will use Crystal, and needs to be configured from the 'Control Panel' so that it knows where the Fritz database is located (Configuration is carried out via the 'Administrative Tools' option).
Notes: This ODBC driver has been created by the makers of the database tables used by Fritz. VirtualTec owns a resistribution licence which allows us to distribute this file.
